Mexican Pottery
Today’s Mexican pottery site is a site you can use to find out more about Mexico, its people and its pottery. We will look at the different types of cultural regions and the pottery that each region produces. Here you can find out where and how to find Plates, planters, vases, bowls, tiles, mirrors, sinks, suns, trees of life, wall art, figurines and carved eggs. We will explore the techniques used to make the pottery and where in its history these techniques came from. Pottery is a ceramic; this site will explore all the different types of ceramic’s and their uses. It’s my hope that this site will also be a learning tool. With tips and step by step instructions on how to use pottery in your home and your yard to make home improvements or to simply decorated your porch, deck or home. We will have links the user can access to find just what their looking for. I will even be sharing a list of my favorite Mexican recipes. All over Mexico we can find that each style and finish is tied to an indigenous tradition and local, that is inspired by the techniques used in Mexico's ancient pottery art. We will explore these Mexico pottery traditions and share our findings with you. Here are a few examples of the different types of Mexico's pottery styles. Guanajuato Mexico is a state in the central highlands of Mexico. In the city's downtown you will find lots of shops with handicrafts, where you can buy silver and gold jewelry, fine pottery decorated using original methods that are hundreds of years old. Mata Ortiz, is a small village in the State of Chihuahua Mexico, less than 100 miles from the United States/Mexico border. The collection here is all handmade clay pottery with natural materials; no pottery wheels have been used. Each piece of pottery is unique and signed by the potter. I will help you find the right pottery for your use. Whether it be a figurine for the shelf or a vase on the table. I Will even show you how to make a water fountain for the yard out of Mexican pottery.
